Dorkholm is an Irish artist, based in Sweden. His art is designed to make mostly himself and, occasionally, other people laugh. Most of his creative process is sitting around thinking funny thoughts. Beyond the funny, Dorkholm also paints the cartoons of his childhood purely from memory (with somewhat mixed results).
Lost Books is one in the ongoing series of ‘Dork-faced’ pieces, this time telling the story of how hard it is to part with the books you borrow from the library. The ransom note element of this piece was generated from the Polish National Library archive of letter samples from the 1300’s onward.
